Greetings Neighbors,
Please enjoy this series of photos that represent some of the activities this past summer of the Dean Street Grant Square Block Association. We passed out many perennials, planted many perennials under many block tree gardens and held the first GOLDIE MAE WILLIAMS DAY AWARD PROGRAM.
There were lots of plants, lots of work planting the plants, and some how thanks to lots of good folks on Dean St, it all got done. The Love Your Block beautification grant activities were a success, thanks to those who didn’t mind getting a little dirty.
And many thanks to all of the Dean Street Community who made this summer so eventful and so much fun, such as the NYC Citizens Committee, The Grant Square Senior Citizens Center, the community garden, Community Board 8, and our wonderful Block Association staff, Pamela, Gloria, Ralph, Desiree, Tina, and the Goldie May Williams family and relatives.
